Bts mosepele journal....: Selepe sa Magagane 2013-Campaign!

Selepe sa Magagane 2013-Campaign!

The build up of a new project!
The Booth Royale
In studio with T-Dot makhaya working on the single for 2013 France Ba Mreppa campaign. He is back at it again in the Booth Royale studio!

An inspiring beat from another upcoming beat maker who goes by the name Yungfella has had Ba Mreppa hooked for some weeks now!! We think Yungfella can go further with production if he can decide to pursue that passion.

Nonetheless, we still trying to figure out why Ba Mreppa decided to call this one SELEPE SA MAGAGANE! when in studio explain to our brother-from-another-mother, T-Dot, we ended up having a nickname for the single!!! In his own words (T-Dot) "Relegation Zone"

Ya basimane ke e nkgwe, magosi re kgaba ka mebala ya nkwe!!!
Lyrics coming up soon!!!

ke buile gape, ...

In the mean, France Ba Mreppa is busy involved with University of Botswana Music Club (UBMC) where he is working with a crop young fresh music lovers; include the likes Solo & Tripple B [from the Dynasty]. They already set a trend of Friday nights music appreciation where a lot of known & unknown artists/performers were spotted on the mic and instruments. Other associates at the club include Godson of Bee Phly Entertainment, Ozz Ozy from Ozzy Entertainment, Cheryl, Matty and the whole gang. A welcome gesture for the love of music. France loves music and loves Motswako. We respect him for that.

togetherness babe!

indeed she is a dreamer! prove me wrong on that one.

On her birthday, she decided to go all out and enjoy life when the time is right. As a BIG DREAMER (o ntshephe mo go yeo kgang), she decided to change the norm of small shisanyamas and a few bottles of digalagala with the ever popular birthday cake for something not common, well different. It was all masks and a lil' bit of decency  ka smart casual wa bona. While at it, the fun was spread across the weekend.
Since this was about her, she focused on herself(big up for that, if all we could learn to do that), she is a fan of France Ba Mreppa and boldly invited him to the birthday party. Ba Mreppa a a latha bokolwane jwa Gabs and jumped on it. TALK ABOUT APPRECIATION! 'the fan appreciate the artist or the artist appreciate the fan'!He gave the invited something more to add to Lebo's birthday take-aways! because when you give love it comes right back at you, people in Orapa sent it 10 times folds back at exactly 10 pm as they thronged Lebo's birthday party! This was the time he performed under the influence of mmino! Smarh also gave dish full for the invites. What a BiRtHdAy!

University of Botswana LLC Day

France Ba Mreppa
On this day, all the varsity talented pips came together to showcase their skills. Talk about blowing your horn, that is what went down at LLC Day in Basco. Basco ne ba itshupa bothakga le bokgoni. throught the competition, it was clear that Terence Kgwarae and france ba Mreppa were the pace setters. They ended up facing each other in the rapping category. Though they into hip hop, it was clear that the two represent the best of different realms of hip hop. Ba Mreppa on the realm of Motswako tase while Terence ruled the more eloquent Rap realm[in English]. At the end, the organisers had to have avictor as it was promised to the varsity community and France Ba Mreppa came tops. Botswana have to give it to both of these artist, they are talented.

open mic sunday hip hop sessions by Urban Arts association

Event Banner
motswakolista pumping Botsa Palamente
Botswana Hip Hop Association set the stage for Hip Hop chill-as on Sundays. The intention is to keep the fire burning. They found it fit to include the motswakolistas who according to me were dominating in numbers. We applaud that as it shows that indeed our artists have something to share with their people hence the inculcation of the respective mother tongue in the rhymes and lines. We wish this could grow and becomes something of note with a bigger magnitude than this. Morogo wa ngwana betsho....The event ran from March 4th to April 29th 2012. The proud sponsor was City Radio.

Press Play: Hold My Hand ft Ms Sedge

France Ba Mreppa contributed this track to the compilation as a gesture of giving a helping hand to the fight against the dreadful disease.

DROP THE STIGMA IN YOUR HANDS AND YOU WILL BE FREE TO HOLD MY HAND

Kgangkgolo ke e. molaetsa wa ga Ba Mreppa ke gore, are tshwaraganeng. Go tswa go lowe, Batswana khutong tse nne tsa lefatshe ne ba tshela mmogo ka go thusana e le mowa wa boja mmogo. Ere ha motho a fagare ga dipharagobe, bangwe batswe thuso ka ha baitse gore mareledi asale pele. Botshelo joo, le ronaa gompieno re tshwanetse ra botshela. Re similole ka go amogela seemo, re a moegele bao ba thokileng lesego ba iphithela ba tshela ka mogare. Mo gole nosi, goka re ruta gore re ikgaphe ebile bao ba re ba amogetseng ba kgone go tshela sente ka lorato le thokgamo.

The values of forefathers should not be abandoned. Its not that they didn't have problems and miserable situations but its how they choose to face. They lived together as children of one! children of the same homestead who helped each through difficult times. Maybe this is why in earlier times there was less stigma towards the less fortunate. Today HIV/AIDS stigma is rampant, it is destroying every move we make to defeat the scurge. Stigmatization will continue to build up and block our war efforts because our true values are fading with time.
We are no longer neighbours! Go a itshelelwa!
We are no longer people! but savages!
Ga re sa thola re le bana ba motho! We venture on our own into the unknown!
Ga re Setshaba sa merafe ya Batswana! We are fragments of copied identities!

All that is being said is lets relive our values, the suburbs should not divide us, the city should not destroy us, the 'rurals' should not destroy our parents. Be my neighbour enough to know i am affected or infected. Be my sibling enough to help through with the HIV?AIDS medication.
In that way, u and I can go further and the world shall admire us.

Remember, your family is my family, "mongwe le mongwe ke motsadi wa gago" therefore every one is another sibling. Drop the stigma and hold my hand.

The Kosher Nights experience [MOTSWAKO HOUR]

France Ba Mreppa
Visit the Motswako Hour in pictures here.
Invited to top off the already great night at Sportsman Bar, Cresta President Hotel dubbed The Kosher Nights; he just did exactly that! It was an insane elegant night. More of these type of events should be hosted around Botswana. Event is brought to you by Marked Men Group. This time around the night was slated for motswako session. Another welcome gesture to build the motswako brand in Botswana. We salute you gentlemen. Visit KOSHER NIGHTS

Dj Fauz

whats the kosher nights:...

The Kosher Nights experience represents a lifestyle of glamour, elegance, mixed with an ambience of various music genres, social interaction and display of performing and fine arts. It will serve as a platform for various industries to come together and showcase their product and talents.

By definition Kosher refers to something that is legitimate/authentic. With this in mind the objective for each individual event, branded as Kosher Nights, is to create something truly unique and original, hence the addition of what is called The Experience. This experience refers to each uniquely conceptualized theme that will be used to create that authentic experience to give each event meaning and life.
